Sighting: Amsterdam High School of the Arts
Those of you not on the QLab mailing list may not be aware that there’s an exciting new plugin coming out soon: the Video Cue.
This cue is in the final stages of beta testing, but a few brave souls have already used it in the wild. One of the first was Tom Rijndorp, an enterprising student at the Amsterdam High School of the Arts. Tom used QLab to run both audio and video for a mid-January graduation ceremony at his school.
Five borrowed MacBooks, five projectors hung from the ceiling, integrated audio, and MIDI over ethernet to link it all together. Pretty hot.
I’ll be posting Tom’s full report of his experience soon, including photos and a Quicktime video clip. In the meantime here’s two snapshots to whet your appetite (click to see a larger version):
Audio, Video, and MIDI. All integrated into a single playback solution. And we’re just getting started. Hellz yeah.
