Licenses and Authorizations

Before authorization, Streamers will work without limitation, but a message will be overlaid across each streamer window. This allows you to evaluate the software for any amount of time before purchasing.

Streamers offers two basic types of license: standard and rental. Standard licenses last forever, while rental licenses expire and are purchased on a per-day basis. Both license types are good for a single computer, and both require activation.

Both types of license may be purchased at any time from figure53.com.

Activating a License

Authorizing a Streamers license is easiest if the computer is connected to the Internet:

  • Drag the license file onto the Streamers icon
  • Click on Authorize Now. Streamers should activate immediately, and you're done!

Activating a computer that is not connected to the Internet requires a couple extra steps:

  • Drag the license file onto the Streamers icon
  • Click on Authorize Later
  • In the Authorization Preferences, click on Save Offline Activation Request...
  • Streamers will save an HTML file. Copy this file to a computer that is connected to the Internet.
  • Open the HTML file on the second computer, and you'll see a link to download an activation file
  • Download the activation file and copy it to the computer running Streamers
  • Drag the activation file onto the Streamers icon, or click on Import Offline Activation... Streamers should now activate.

Removing/Transferring Licenses

Licenses may be freely transferred from one machine to another. Simply deactivate the first computer, and install the original license file on the new machine, following the same activation steps above.

To deactivate and remove a license, click on Deactivate & Delete.

Note: Deactivation requires a connection to the Internet. There is no way to deactivate from a second computer.
