stop and short fade cue clicks and glitches

Reported by: Vlado Horvatic Assigned to: chris
Priority: high Component: QLab
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I have click (glitch) when I use stop cue, maybe it depend about type of music or part of music when Qlab just stop playing dedicated cue then I take short fade cue instead of stop cue but with short fades 0:0:100 I can hear the sound "clicking" down in volume at the end of cue also. Maybe is better to mute the cue before stop playing. It seems that stop playing audio files will make audible click(glitch). I use macbookpro dual core intel 2.16Ghz with 3Gb sdram, RME fireface 400 and m-audio 410.

Can someone answer? For me It is very important

Hi Vlado,

Sorry it took so long to answer. Not sure what to say really; when a cue is stopped it simply stops sending frames out of the device. Depending on what audio is playing from the Sound Cue, this could sound like a glitch simply because the waveform is cut short.

Or do you mean that even with, say, a silent cue (no audio) that you can here a glitch if it's stopped?

Best, Chris
